(Côtes du Rhone Pinkerton Thompson III)
February 24th, 1994 to March 28th 2008
Beloved Thompson matriach, taken to
be with her maker. She was a good dog and the leader
of the pack. She was Lauries finest pastoral collegue.
Liked snow, cuddling on carpets, and did not pee inside
until the very end. She was a member of the AKC, PETA,
and People for Poodles organizations and worked tirelessly
for orphaned poodles and poodle rights. She has multitudes
of surviving family including Chewy and baby Kiri, as
well as many Winterer dogs and other related Essexians.
This is Will Banks (Holy Trinity Preschool
Class of 2009) conception of a ginger bread man (woman?).
Awesome. Should not date any of my daughters though.
I know everyone saw this on ESPN when
it aired, but just in case....I loved every single second
of it. For those of you who want to skip to the picks
io would recommend you move to 5:30 (1:45 left) or so
for the intro and pregame speech. The actual pick is
at 7:15 (:45 left). I only wish i could find a
clp of Corso talking about his visit to Clark Art. Herbstreit
looked at him like he was some kind of alien.
Apparently when Corso asked the lady
at the Williams in where the 'stadium' was, she laughed
at him. Haaa
Margaret May married
the wonderful Kevin O'Leary of Boston on May 5th in
Wilmington, NC. The bride was striking, the ceremony
was beautiful, and the reception a whole lot of fun.
After a very wonderful week of giving thanks, we were
blessed with a special arrival on Saturday November
26. At 1:52 AM after a beautiful labor, Kelley Rose
Calvillo was born to Katie and me. She is 19 inches
long and weighs 6 pounds 6 ounces. We came home from
the birthing center later Saturday morning and have
had a great time introducing Kelley to her new home
and extended family. Both Katie and Kelley are doing
beautifully and I am confident that I am the luckiest
guy in the world. We want to thank everyone for your
blessings and good wishes.
With much love,
Justin, Katie, & Kelley

I had to say it all fancy like that
because Matt is from Great Britain and speaks the King's
English. It is okay though, I have interviewed him extensively
and can assure you he supports continued independence
for the colonies.
Congrats Meg!! You have one of the best
Matt.

Welcome to the 2008 LTandLela.com/Thompson
Family March Madness College Basketball brackets.
This tournament has been held in some
fashion or another for many years, dating back to
about 1989 or so, when Macon Thompson started posting
brackets for family members in Trumbull, CT. In 2000,
we moved the tourney online and opened it up to the
general public and the enthusiasm it has received
has been wonderful. Ever since then masses of people
have gathered to compete for the title of champion.
Some ground rules. I am often asked
what the entry fee and prizes are. There is no entry
fee, this is a family style competition, with much
at stake along the lines of dignity and pride, but
no money changes hands. There has been a prize for
the last several years, as there will be this year.
The rules and scoring are simple.
Points are given based on round (1,2,4,8,16,32) with
underdogs being ten seeds or less getting extra points
(2,4,6,8,10,12). The first tiebreaker is most teams
in the final four, second tiebreaker is most teams
in the sweet sixteen, and last tiebreaker is total
points in the final game. if that does not decide
it we will put the winners in a room with Moose and
the first person he licks will be declared the winner.
Good luck!
Baby Lyons!!!
Congrats to Meg and Matt on their baby boy born yesterday,
the 28th, at 7:35 am London time weighing 3.62kg or
nearly 8lb. No name as of yet but we will update when
we find out more....
Despite what you may think, this is
not actually Serena's face upon receipt of the 'question'.
In fact it is (deliciously) the only picture we have
on file here at hltiv.com. If anyone can supply a
more timely picture, preferably from the exact moment
of proposal, i would love that.
I would also like to say that it is
exciting to see some of our favorite people tying
the knot.
I did receive a snapshot from the
day of the engagement, and this is great. What do
most people do when they get engaged? Wear silly hats
and spin each other around of course!
And finally moments after engagement...
Chris & Kelly Married!!
And Now They are
HAVING A BABY!!
Chris and Kelly were married September 15th in a
beautiful ceremony in very beautiful Chittenden, VT.
Lots of family on both sides and an awesome amount
of friends from all walks of life made it for the
event. It is hard to imagine anything more special
than seeing your brother get married to an awesome,
amazing, beautiful woman. Welcome to the family Kelly!
We love you.
We were able to attend
the amazing and beautiful wedding of Max Ricci and
Sara Svennson in Malmo (congrats!) and then spent
some time in the fishing village of Torekov and then
Copenhagen. An amazing wedding and wonderful trip.
Winslow Peter Winterer was born this
week, mother and baby are doing well.
Henry Irving Platto

The Madness Begins
Welcome to the 2007 version of the
LTandLela.com/Thompson Family March Madness College
Basketball brackets.
Congrats Ashley!!
For the first time in years, we have
only one champion as Ashley Tenney (my cousin, born
the day after me) takes both the Overall and Thompson
family brackets on the back of Florida. She also picked
the final four and seven of the elite eight. good
work. Ted Roosevelt and Lowey Sichol took runner up
honors.

Some of you may have heard about my
newest toy, a GPS equipped watch, which i use for
anything from running to biking, hiking etc. One of
the amazing things about this device is how you can
log and then share your activies. You can click on
the link below, or use the RSS feed.

tall. Brady is healthy and Mom is well.
Chris Thompson Engaged!!!
Chris (on a visit to Hickory no less)
has announced his engagement to Kelly Ladabouche.
At first, when told Kelly was a native Vermonter but
did not know how to ski, I was a bit worried. However,
having gotten to know her better over the last few
months I can vouch that she is a wonderful person
and will perform her duties as wife (and aunt) admirably.
Welcome to the Thompson family Kelly. We are so excited
for next September.
Born June 12th, 2006 at 7:04 AM after
six hours of labor. Twenty inches tall and eight pounds
seven ounces in weight. Mom and baby are doing very
well and anxious to get home (today wednesday). Stirling
has anointed the baby as 'Peach' for whetever reason.
On a beautiful fall weekend, Meg Blakey married Matt
Lyons in Hickory. From a hilarious rehearsal dinner
to a beatuiful ceremony and a wonderful reception,
everything was perfect and everyone had a great time.
Unfortunately our camera battery died, so we can not
bring you the full depth of pictures our viewers deserve
but.....here is what we have.
We can not wait to visit the new couple in England
some day soon. Go Bristol City!!
After much thought and careful consideration,
my brother decided to take up bullriding as his new
hobby (the word on the street is that crotcheting
came in a close second).
His first ride is below, he stayed
on 5.8 of the required eight seconds, but had the
best time in the Novice division and won $144 bucks.
The man cleaned up.
He also rode a second time. Stayed on less time,
but check out the bull charging him about midway through
the video.
Born April 29th at 9 in the morning.
Weighing in at eight pounds and 13 ounces. Mom and
Dad are doing very well. We got to visit on sunday
and the baby is beautiful and mommy and daddy ar radiant.
Congrats CJ and Jenny!!
Congrats Laura and Dave. We are so excited to have
another beautiful cousin to play with! Callie was
born April 20th at 10:45 PM, weighing in at 8 lbs
9oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Laura is doing well, though
the labor was long and hard before the docs called
for a C-Section. Lela was on hand and loved every
moment.
In an amazing 1-2 finish Billy and Jenny Morton proved
themselves a dominant force in this years Tourney.
Congrats to Billy for the win, as well as Nick Tenney
for taking Thompson bragging rights. Thank you everyone
for playing
